During the promotion of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, BNP Paribas presented an immersive VR experience in collaboration with We Are Social and Google Zoo. The project aimed to merge cinematic storytelling and emerging VR technologies in a branded activation.
Working with Steve Teeps’s VR artwork and Marc Simonetti’s visual guidance, a 360° video was produced featuring controlled camera navigation within a Tilt Brush environment. Using Unity, the virtual camera paths, transitions, and spatial staging were composed to guide viewers through scenes inspired by the film. The goal was to transform VR artwork into a cinematic, immersive video experience.
The final VR video was showcased during promotional events and screenings, offering audiences a novel way to experience the Valerian universe through a blend of digital art and interactive cinematics.
