Aidants Connect was launched as a state-run digital R&D initiative under DINUM and ANCT, incubated via beta.gouv, and deployed nationally by late 2021 as part of France’s digital inclusion strategy. It empowers trained professional carers—such as social workers and digital mediators—to assist digitally vulnerable users in completing online public-sector procedures through legally backed mandates and FranceConnect authentication
Addressing users with limited digital autonomy, the platform was conceived with strong emphasis on accessibility, clarity, and legal compliance. I led the UI/UX design across front-end interfaces and the simplified back-office system:
- Produced a visually clear and accessible interface, adhering to the French government’s DSFR standards.
- Created user flows for mandate creation, structure-based account management, and institutional coordination.
- Integrated secure user authentication via FranceConnect, eliminating the need for carers to handle sensitive credentials directly.
- Designed a graphical identity based on trust, ease of navigation, and contextual clarity for both carers and users.

The product also included offline aids such as training slides, guidance visuals, and interactive tutorials (Figma Prototypes) aimed at onboarding carers and structures effectively. The team was composed of intrapreneur, business developers, front and back developers, UX Researcher ; we worked in a 2 weeks sprint manner.

Accreditation Form Journey
The habilitation form is a carefully refined user journey developed over several years to collect all necessary information for authorizing a structure, a referent, and designated carers.
Despite the complexity and the sensitive legal data required, the flow was designed to remain as smooth and accessible as possible.

Carer's connected account
The Carer's account is the area where carers can create and manage mandates, access training, and securely assist a user.

The referent's space
The referent also has access to an online space to manage their organization's carers, their habilitations and permissions, as well as the fleet of "Aidant Cards" — OTP devices used for secure two-factor authentication.
